Associate Director, Finance

Job Description:

Position Summary

Responsible for statutory and corporate financial reporting; budget planning; grants management and donor compliance; taxation; procurement management; and team management. Fraud and corruption prevention and early assessment of financial risks are also among the duties. The HFA must provide strategic support for financial strategy and planning, business analysis, and ongoing improvement of financial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing the organization’s entire finance system
  • Financial reporting to HQ, including preparation and validation of monthly sales reports
  • Developing budgets for business plans and donor grants
  • Tracking of grant expenditures, and related reporting to donors
  • Reviewing and analyzing monthly sales revenue, product costs, distributors’ reports, and calculate quarterly sales incentive bonuses
  • Liaising with external international-grade auditors, to make ensure yearly audit and tax reports are well prepared and on time
  • Ensuring full compliance with procurement policy and develop/update procurement SOP
  • Understanding current and proposed legislation (esp. with regard to taxes), enforcing accounting regulations and recommending new procedures
  • Delivering regular awareness training for staff on compliance issues and provide the management with early warning if significant financial risks seen ahead
  • Managing and guiding finance and accounting staff
  • Cooperating with HR for monthly payroll and personal-income tax withholding
  • Contributing (relevant, valuable) comment and opinions pro-actively to Country Director and/or Management team

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • CPA or Professional ACCA
  • University degree in Commerce or Accounting Major
  • Prior experience in running a Finance or Accounting Department
  • 7 years post-college experience in accounting, with at least 2~3 years auditing experience
  • Experience with managing the year-end external audit, tax processing and compliance
  • Inventory management experience with manufacturing, trading industry and the internal controls
  • Strong English skill both written and verbal
  • Strong Excel skills and keyboarding skills
  • ERP implementation experience (only if contemplating an ERP upgrade/implementation)
  • Grant management experience strongly preferred
  • Intercompany eliminations and consolidation experience
  • Ability to travel internationally once a year for training or group finance meeting

Monday ~ Friday
