General Manager, Marketing (Pharma)

Job Description:

Position Summary

Responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and sales plans to drive the growth of the company’s prescription drug portfolio. The role focuses on expanding market presence, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders such as hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies, and achieving sales, revenue, and profitability targets.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for achieving annual and quarterly sales targets
  • Responsible for increasing market share across key therapeutic segments
  • Track and be accountable for the volume of prescriptions generated
  • Ensure successful sales performance for newly launched products within specified timelines
  • Accountable for measuring and enhancing the return on investment for marketing campaigns
  • Increase engagement metrics from physicians and healthcare providers through CMEs, webinars, and other initiatives
  • Improve conversion rates from marketing leads to actual prescriptions
  • Ensure adherence to FDA and local healthcare regulations
  • Lead efforts to pass internal and external audits without major findings
  • Achieve high satisfaction scores from healthcare professionals (HCPs)
  • Maintain high retention rates among key prescribing physicians and institutions
  • Build strategic relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and stakeholders
  • Maintain low turnover rates in sales and marketing departments
  • Ensure high levels of engagement and satisfaction within the team
  • Lead initiatives to launch or expand products into new therapeutic areas
  • Incorporate competitor insights into actionable business strategies
  • Ensure accuracy in sales forecasting and demand planning

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional teams and large sales territories
  • Fluency in both Myanmar and English
  • Strong knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, CRM) for sales data interpretation, trend forecasting, marketing optimization, sales pipeline management, and customer engagement tracking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with teleconferencing and webinar tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx)
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms for running online campaigns and measuring marketing ROI
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical sales and marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and marketing success

8:00 AM ~ 5:20 PM

Monday ~ Friday

Saturday & Sunday closed
