Senior Manager, Treasury & Financial Institution

Responsibilities

• Supervise ALM team’s strategic investment planning and ensure that the team meets its KPIs
• Ensure that the bank maintains an optimal level of fixed income instruments
• Proactively identify new avenues of treasury investments
• Manage the bank’s liquidity in accordance with CBM regulations and guidelines, and other relevant internal policies
• Work closely with Operation and Cash management team to facilitate branches’ cash requirements
• Administer interbank money market dealings by the ALM teams and ensure that the dealings are within approved limits
• Review credit facility contracts with other banks periodically and receive relevant internal committee approvals for new limits
• Review the reports and dashboards produced by Valuation team and ensure accuracy
• Guide the team in improving the existing and creating new reports for efficiency
• Maintain and improve existing relationships and forge new ones with other financial institutions both locally and abroad
• Manage and guide the teams on FI related matters for efficiency
• Work with Legal and Compliance Departments for necessary documentation
• Review current functionality and ensure documentation is up to date and organized
• Proactively initiate and develop analysis tools such as dashboards to better enhance the process
• Other ad-hoc tasks

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance/ Accounting/ Mathematics
• CFA or CTP holder will be a plus
• Other Finance/Trade related professional certifications is an added advantage
• Minimum 8 years of work experience, in banking and financial sector in the field of treasury of which at least 5 years of managerial experience
• Must have Liquidity management and reporting experience
• Possesses well informed knowledge about Myanmar banking industry
• Understand how Treasury products such as government securities, money market and FX work
• Excellent numerical and financial modelling skills
• Working knowledge on risk and risk management
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft office, particularly Excel, Power Point and Word
• Working knowledge on trade financing, foreign exchange trading, international banking procedures are added advantages
• Good technical skills, market & product knowledge and capable of responding to change in both the working and market environment
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) in both Myanmar and English
