Deputy General Manager - Business Development

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company goals and objectives
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities, trends, and potential areas for expansion
  • Manage and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, inducing partners, clients, and government officials
  • Lead negotiations for business deals, contracts, and agreements to ensure favorable terms for the company
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing business development team, providing guidance and support to achieve targets and objectives
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of business strategies
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to expand market presence
  • Oversee project development and/or mergers and acquisitions to ensure alignment with company goals
  • Analyze financial data to inform business decisions and support strategic planning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and ensure project success
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and maintain positive government relations
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities and progress to senior management

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field, MBA is a plus
  • 7 years of proven experience in business development, with a successful track record of driving revenue growth
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans
  • Basic financial skills, including the ability to analyze financial statements and data
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships
  • Experience in project development or mergers and acquisitions
  • Excellent commercial sense with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities
  • Strong understanding of government relations and regulatory environments
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a strategic mindset
