Senior Communications Coordinator

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Develops programmes materials, ensures all materials for external communications and visibility are in line with the organization’s branding guideline, supports training staff as required
  • Supports the programmes teams at the time of Emergency Response for all communications materials including situational reports
  • Supports the development of presentations and outreach materials for events, workshops and conferences
  • Supports the programmes teams in the development of key communications materials – programmes, external representation, event organization and emergency response
  • Work in conjunction with Communications Manager and other program teams to develop various visual/ promotional items such as IEC materials ranging from layout designing, illustration, content creation etc.
  • Take a lead in organizing and events such as advocacy campaigns, marking international days and awareness raising activities
  • Support in writing success stories and case studies in collaboration with the programme teams from country office and field offices
  • Executes various tasks for complementing available information (such as interviews and interactions with a range of stakeholders), collation of data from programme reports, MERL documents, developing/structuring/proofreading existing documents and information/data visualization
  • Support Country Director and Programme leads in developing PowerPoint presentations, verbal and written translation
  • Visit programme areas on a regular basis to take activity photos and videos, beneficiary interviews, video recording etc.
  • Develops, designs and edits communication materials, including video clips, brochure, pamphlets, certificate etc. by using relevant multimedia design software
  • Take a lead in writing contents, visualizations for various institutional reports, press releases, speeches, and other similar materials that communicate the organization’s vision, and programme activities
  • Manage translation processes, including technical oversight and quality assurance from English to Myanmar and Myanmar to English
  • Oversee and manage consultants in productions of multimedia items such as video documentaries, cartoon illustrations, animations, report layouts etc.
  • Manage social media presence to disseminate timely information on project activities, events, achievements, and success stories from the field, actively engaging local and global audiences and key donors
  • Use administration of web skills to keep the organization’s website up-to-date, working with all teams to draft and adapt content as appropriate
  • Organize, host and moderate the webinars for all virtual events such as stakeholder meetings, penal discussions, workshops, presentations etc.
  • Ensure media, publicity and communications policies, procedures and guidance incorporate measures described in the standards Designing and Delivering Safe Communications and Fundraising Work and Delivering Safe IT and Digital Safeguarding
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by supervisor

 

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Understands ethical and safeguarding in communication, media and digital work
  • Five years professional working experience in communication field
  • Degree/diploma in Communication, Marketing, Journalism and similar fields
  • Professional working experience with international organizations preferable
  • Communicate and coordinate with partners and regional office as required
  • Good knowledge relevant software Canva, Capcut, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro
  • Good experiences on photo/ video shooting and editing
  • Good experiences in Microsoft office 2016 outlook and MS 365 working environment
  • Layout designing, photo/ video editing, video subtitling, report writing
  • Proven team working ability and visual skills
  • Strong communications skills, including proficient Myanmar and English language ability
  • Strong team-building and motivations to peers and staff

Working Time:

Monday ~ Friday
