[Position Closed] Accountant

Job Description:

Acting as part of the wider Finance team to ensure that all tasks are prioritised and completed within the required timeframes;
Preparing of ad-hoc invoices and credit notes as required;
Performing bank reconciliations;
Providing assistance to the finance team on an ad-hoc basis as may be requested from time to time;
Ensuring all information and reports allocated to this role are available for review on a timely basis;
Working such additional hours as are reasonably required from time to time in order to complete the role at the request of the Finance Manager;
Check and keep all invoices and Material issue vouchers
Assist with other accounting projects
Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
Ensure customers pay on time and chase any overdue invoices
Develop the credit control system in collaboration with sales, trade marketing
Main contact with credit sale customers
Check and update daily credit collection
Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential
Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions

Job Requirements:

Holds a bachelor degree; preferably with Commerce and Accounting
Accounting experience would be an advantage;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
Highly organised with strong documentation and personal organisation skills;
Ability to prioritise tasks both in terms of personal performance and contribution to assist other team members as the need arises

Working Time:

8:00AM - 5:00PM

Monday to Saturday

Sunday and Public Holidays Off
