Project Director

Position Summary

Responsible for project strategy, resource planning, cost control, quality assurance, site operations, contractor management, and client satisfaction. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all construction projects across the organization
• Establish project execution strategies, timelines, and delivery plans
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule within approved budgets
• Monitor project performance, milestones, and overall project health
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and company standards
• Develop project schedules, manpower plans, and resource allocation strategies
• Coordinate internal teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Ensure availability of materials, equipment, and workforce for project execution
• Monitor project productivity and implement improvement initiatives
• Oversee construction budgets and project financial performance
• Review and approve project cost forecasts, variations, and procurement plans
• Establish and enforce project quality standards and QA/QC procedures
• Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements
• Lead investigations and corrective actions related to quality or safety incidents
• Serve as the primary construction representative for key clients and stakeholders
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, and contractors
• Manage client expectations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Lead, mentor, and develop construction management teams
• Build organizational capability through coaching, training, and succession planning
• Promote company culture, professionalism, and operational excellence

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in construction project management
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale commercial, residential, hospitality, or fit-out projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, and execution
• Advanced understanding of project budgeting, cost control, and contract management
• Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and technical coordination processes
• Strong understanding of QA/QC and Health & Safety requirements
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities
• Excellent strategic planning and decision-making skills
• High-level problem-solving and risk-management abilities
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
