Purchasing Manager

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Purchase pharmaceuticals, IV fluids, vaccines, medical consumables, and pharmacy supplies
  • Obtain quotations and compare prices from approved suppliers
  • Coordinate emergency purchases for urgent clinical requirements
  • Monitor expiry dates and arrange returns where applicable
  • Minimize stock shortages and wastage
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, wholesalers, and manufacturers
  • Ensure purchasing follows contracted supplier agreements
  • Evaluate supplier performance regarding quality, price, and delivery
  • Ensure medicines are sourced from licensed suppliers
  • Maintain documentation for audits and inspections
  • Comply with Ministry of Health regulations and hospital SOPs
  • Maintain records for controlled drugs where applicable
  • Work closely with pharmacists, store personnel, finance department, and suppliers
  • Communicate medicine shortages and alternative sourcing options
  • Support pharmacy operations during shortages or recalls

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • M.B.B.S or Bachelor’s degree with Pharmacy Business background
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Purchasing (Pharmaceuticals)
  • Strong knowledge of hospital medicine and pharmaceuticals purchase
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities 
  •  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and other softwares
  • Good command of English both written and spoken

Working Time:

9:00 AM ~ 5:00 PM

Monday ~ Saturday (alternative)

Sunday & Public Holidays closed
