Position Summary
Responsible for leading the bank’s financial strategy, ensuring financial stability, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth. Oversees all financial functions including financial planning, reporting, treasury, budgeting, capital and share management, while supporting strategic decision-making at the Board and senior management levels.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the bank’s long-term objectives and development mandate

Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, including expansion, digital transformation, and new product development

Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards

Oversee preparation of financial statements, management reports, and reports to the Board

Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) regulations and other applicable rules and regulations

Serve as the primary liaison for all audit-related matters, including Internal Audit, External Audit, and Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) examinations

Ensure full cooperation with Internal Audit by facilitating access to financial records, supporting audit reviews, and overseeing timely implementation of audit recommendations

Lead engagement with External Auditors, including coordination of annual audits, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements, and resolving audit findings in a timely and transparent manner

Manage the bank’s liquidity position, funding strategy, and cash flow to ensure financial resilience

Oversee Assets & Liabilities management (ALM) and produce analysis and insights required for Assets & Liabilities Management Committee (ALCO)

Maintain strong relationships with correspondent banks, financial institutions, and other funding partners

Ensure adequate share and capital planning and compliance with prudential ratios

Work closely with Chief Compliance & Risk Management Officer and Risk Management Department to monitor risks including credit, market, and liquidity risks

Oversee provisioning, impairment assessments, and NPL-related financial impact

Monitor financial performance against budgets and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement

Develop and maintain a high-performance culture with strong governance, accountability, and professionalism

Provide strategic direction, coaching, and mentorship to senior finance staff to strengthen leadership capabilities and technical expertise

Establish and implement succession planning for key finance roles, identifying and developing high-potential employees to ensure continuity of critical functions and leadership stability

Ensure adequate staffing, capability development, and knowledge transfer within the department to support the bank’s long-term growth and operational needs

Foster collaboration with other departments to ensure alignment between financial management and overall business objectives
