Logistics Assistant Manager

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipment processes and communicate requirements between sellers and customers
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and agents for import and export operations
  • Follow up and monitor shipment schedules (ETA / ETD) to ensure timely delivery
  • Prepare and submit all shipping documents and reports accurately and on time
  • Handle import/export customs documentation and compliance requirements
  • Source and evaluate foreign suppliers and international forwarders
  • Identify and develop local suppliers based on overseas demand
  • Request, obtain, and compare quotations from suppliers and logistics providers
  • Track shipment progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Handle delays, discrepancies, and operational issues effectively

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in import/export, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Strong knowledge of shipping processes, customs clearance, and documentation
  • Good understanding of Incoterms (e.g., FOB, CIF, EXW, DAP)
  • Experience working with freight forwarders and international suppliers
  • Good negotiation and cost analysis skills
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Good command of English (written & spoken)
