General Manager

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all departments, including the front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage, to ensure smooth 24/7 operations
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas to maintain brand standards and safety protocols
  • Execute long-term business goals, analyze market trends, and adapt services to stay competitive against local properties
  • Ensure the hotel meets all health, safety, security, and labor laws, as well as local government regulations
  • Manage annual budgets and forecast monthly revenue and expenses
  • Collaborate with respective departments to implement dynamic pricing and manage inventory
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and supervise all staff, often department heads
  • Foster a positive work environment with effective communication
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences, handling complaints and issues
  • Approve and oversee marketing campaigns and promotional activities
  • Organize management meetings to address policies and progress
  • Represent the hotel at local industry events, tourism boards, and partnerships
  • Be available on call to resolve urgent issues or emergencies
  • Any other duties as assigned by the management

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a General Manager in hospitality industry
  • Strong communication skills and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to read and speak the English Language and comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to effectively communicate professionally with stakeholders and guests
