Assistant Manager, Procurement

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the entire procurement operation and manage smooth flow of works
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with other departments, and relevant third parties
  • Ensure the accurate completion of all procurement requests to include the proper documentation of materials and cost expenditures
  • Monitor all outstanding purchase orders and requisitions to ensure fulfilment or cancellation without loss of funds
  • Manage the parts inventory to meet the requirements of internal and external customers
  • Screen the bids and quotations, negotiate contracts and coordinate among requestors, vendors or suppliers
  • Respond to written and verbal inquiries from a variety of suppliers for the purpose of resolving problems

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in related field with telecom environment knowledge
  • Strong and proven negotiation skills, excellent interpersonal skill and a team player
  • Ability to gather facts and statistics and make financial calculations
  • Ability to work under pressure with tough deadlines 
  • Strong understanding of local law and practice
