General Manager

Job Description:

Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing company operations, ensuring high performance, compliance, and coordination while managing profit & loss, driving strategic planning, resource management, and process improvements for growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage both daily operations and back-office functions, ensuring alignment across departments and meeting company performance targets
  • Take full ownership of operational budgets, P&L, and financial planning, driving efficiency, cost control, and profitability
  • Optimize warehouse and facility operations while managing administrative functions for smooth daily processes
  • Supervise department heads across both operations and back-office teams, supporting leadership development and succession planning
  • Enforce company policies, safety practices, and compliance standards across both operational and administrative functions
  • Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs for each department, implement corrective actions as needed to ensure continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders, resolving operational and administrative issues effectively
  • Lead strategic planning and business improvement initiatives to support long-term organizational growth and operational efficiency
  • Review and manage staffing, procurement, and asset utilization in coordination with both operational and administrative departments
  • Support business continuity planning and risk mitigation, particularly in regulated and high-compliance environments
  • Promote a performance-driven, accountable culture across both operations and back-office teams
  • Review and analyze operational data and financial reports to identify areas of improvement and ensure profitability

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marine Products, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in operations, logistics, or seafood export, with at least 6 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of cold chain logistics, warehouse management, and regulatory compliance in the seafood export industry
  • Proven leadership, financial acumen, and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in both English and Myanmar language
