Procurement Manager

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Forecast, plan, establish, maintain and review procurement and property control programs to ensure their consistency with all applicable regulations
  • Establish corporate policies, standards and procedures as the lead procurement representative at the project sites
  • Interface with representatives of the government, corporate leadership, project personnel, subcontractors and suppliers in matters pertaining to procurement
  • Oversee compliance with established subcontractor and supplier sourcing and qualification processes and procedures
  • Lead and/or support negotiations and commercial transactions involving complex, high value and high-risk purchases
  • Establish performance reporting metrics for assigned area of responsibility and issues formal reports pertaining to procurement status and accomplishments
  • Analyze spend and other data to identify, negotiate and execute cost-savings, cost-avoidance, risk mitigation and portfolio optimization opportunities
  • Lead and build relationships with suppliers with a focus on development of capabilities, pricing stability, and anticipation of supply disruptions
  • Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure by coordinating with the Regional Procurement KPI’s to drive procurement excellence
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation
  • Supervise daily operational tasks of Associate and monitor on logistics invoices and payment status
  • Monitor and review information on the PO tracker, shipment tracker, and other purchase data reports and share with internal stakeholders
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
  • Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Import/Export or Supply Chain preferred
  • ISO 9001 awareness and knowledge of 5S system
  • At least 10 year of experience in procurement and logistics field
  • Experience in a fast-paced, innovative industry is preferred
  • Experience as an ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and internal customers
  • Intermediate level in MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Fluent in both Myanmar and English languages
  • Able to work well under stress in a fast-paced environment

Monday ~ Friday
