Power BI Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into clear and concise Power BI reports and dashboards
• Develop and maintain data models using Power BI Desktop, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and efficiency
• Utilize Power Query Editor to perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various sources including Odoo ERP and other informational system
• Implement data security measures and maintain data governance practices within Power BI
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and key metrics to support informed decision-making
• Create clear and visually appealing reports and dashboards that effectively communicate insights to a non-technical audience
• Stay up to date on the latest Power BI features, best practices, and industry trends
• Collaborate with fellow IT team members to ensure smooth integration with existing data infrastructure
• May develop and document technical specifications for data models and reports
• Train end-users on how to effectively utilize Power BI dashboards and reports

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Proven experience with data modelling concepts, including star schema design and dimensional modelling
• Strong understanding of SQL queries and data manipulation techniques
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working with ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and web analytics tools is a plus
• Experience with data visualization best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated and a quick learner with a desire to stay updated on the latest data analysis trends
