Head of Operations & Maintenance

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all work related to assigned maintenance projects and ensures that they are executed in accordance with the client’s specifications
  • Handles the smooth operations and maintenance project, and coordinates with client and QHSE representatives
  • Works closely each month with the Group O&M team to optimize OPEX
  • Ensures Client satisfaction through SLA target
  • Makes sure that the operation is generating the required Gross Margin and discusses any abrupt deviation with the Group O&M team
  • Ensures preventive maintenance is planned, executed, monitored and follows up with issues found till closure
  • Establishes internal KPIs for each section of the department separately to measure the performance of PM, Fuel, Spares and NOC
  • Ensures monthly reconciliation of SLA, PM, FUEL, CM, Extra Work with client
  • Ensures that all O&M processes and procedures are implemented in each section of the department
  • Trains and manages the team on any new technology like RMS etc. deployed by the client
  • Ensures timely spares procurement, ordering and availability in the stock and field according to the project’s requirement
  • Implements the O&M portal i-TSM in operation with the support of the Group O&M
  • Ensures all field activities are being carried out through M-ITSM
  • Establishes teamwork management workshop, motivational workshops in operation, and all-required QHSE trainings with the help of the Group HR
  • Ensures that corrective maintenance is planned and executed within target time
  • Inspects the quality of the equipment and undertakes site inspection to determine if they are complying with government regulations, client requirements & industry standards
  • Analyzes resources requirements, acquires, monitors and makes suggestions or improvements accordingly
  • Ensures that site security is well managed, monitored and updated based on risk levels of the site
  • Reports any hazards or risks in addition to Accidents/Incident to QHSE department
  • Attends and engages in IMS Awareness Sessions
  • Ensures that all IMS procedures are regularly followed and raises the issue when they are not

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications And Skills

  • 10 years of experience in field work or relevant experience (Active & Passive Maintenance of telecom Network)
  • A multitasker that is well organized and can work well under pressure
  • Must be comfortable with handling multiple projects and assignments with strict deadlines
  • A team leader that can negotiate
  • A decision maker that can work independently
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Telecom, IT (Engineering)
  • HND with 5 years’ managerial experience
