Child Development Specialist

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Retain a growing assigned caseload through quality and timely communications
  • Ensure that Child Development corporate policies and procedures are properly implemented and staff is trained
  • Coordinates with Program Unit staff to ensure concerned National Offices Inquires and individual donor information are timely responded and accurate
  • Ensures the production and coordinates all children and individual donor communication items as needed
  • Handle the preparation and processes of sponsor visit request 
  • Participate in preparation of annual sponsorship documents/ reports in integrate with Program Unit Manager/ Program Unit staff and Child Development Manager
  • Provide the reports according to the situation of children, parents and targeted community
  • A country strategic Child Development growth and communications plan, with quality standards and KPIs is developed, implemented and closely monitored, resulting in high quality and timely communications
  • Communications and relations with communities and government are well maintained
  • Operate and maintain Child Development system to ensure that it properly works and safety data
  • System is managed efficiently and effectively to ensure delivery of quality and timely Child Development communications as necessary
  • Program and Operations staff understand the department's activities and actively contribute to meet communications goals and targets
  • Lessons learned, best practices and models are documented and shared with respective staff
  • Ensures compliance to policies and procedures as per the Child Development Manual and Business rule
  • In Coordinate with Child Development officer, Manage National Office Inquiries received and promptly respond to all NOIs according to category (Normal, Special and Urgent) with development education to satisfy the NOs/Individual Donors
  • Support and train sponsorship staff on the production of child development communications ensuring that these are in compliance with Child Development Manual and business rules

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications And Skills

  • Relevant degree required
  • At least 3 years of experience managing Child Development operations (Sponsorship) in Myanmar (5 years is preferable)
  • A track of record of achievement while managing a heavy workload, amidst ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Facilitation, coaching and training skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with colleagues at long distances and across cultures 
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Report writing and communication skills 
  • Ability to coordinate with people at different levels
  • Ability to travel with short notice

Working Time:

8:30 AM ~ 5:30 PM

Monday ~ Friday

Saturday & Sunday closed
