Chief Operation Officer

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Support the company in the execution of the short- and long-term vision, plans and directives by implementing judgement, vision, management, and leadership in line with the company’s mission and core values
  • Oversee the general operations at the factory including engineering, PPIC, manufacturing, warehousing, procurement, IT and quality
  • Implement the operational management systems to organize and monitor the factory overall operations
  • Ensure that the factory is compliant to all local environmental, legislative and regulatory laws
  • Ensure maximum capacity utilization through strategic and tactical scheduling of capacity vs demand
  • Ensure that the production plans meet the required customer’s timeline (OTIF) expectations
  • Review and approve the 6-months, 3-months, monthly and weekly plans for production, purchasing and PPIC
  • Communicate with the customers and other related departments (internally and externally) to ensure that all new product introductions meet timelines and are executed in line with operational expectations
  • Ensure that raw materials, packaging, and other consumables are procured on time, on quality and by achieving the optimal purchase price
  • Responsible for the proper deployment of group policies that promote company culture and vision within its territory in connection with the Group Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director
  • Define the operational structure, ensure the management of the teams and ensure the right level of skills and their defined performance objectives
  • Manage all aspects of the internal supply chain demand-supply process from order acceptance to delivery
  • Ensure sales are recorded and monitored in line with agreed processes and products purchased are delivered in a timely way
  • Maintain relationships with key vendors/partners, maintains regular contact, solve complex issues, and anticipate and plan for the challenges involved in the operations
  • Oversee the activities of the engineering team related to preventative and corrective maintenance, project management and inventory management
  • Collaborating with the department heads and operations as an advisor of all technologies develop and meet organizational goals
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests in a timely and professional manner

 

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical, Engineering (industrial management, operation management) or related filed required, MBA preferred
  • More than 10 years' of experience in a senior management role or similar position and minimum 5 years' of experience as a Head of Operations Department
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical sector, products and services
  • Solid communication skills and can work with all members of the organization and all levels of management
  • Ability to work in a complex, fast paced environment and respond under ambiguous situations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and is highly logical andnumerate
  • A continuous improvement mind-set and experience in process improvement will be an added advantage
  • Strong leadership skills, critical thinking, problem solving, time management, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of project management techniques, tools, methodologies and best practices
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Office with knowledge of advanced excel data analysis
  • Fluent in both Myanmar and English
