Senior Legal Manager

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal agreements and contracts, such as supply agreements, distribution agreements, licensing agreements, and employment contracts
  • Managing and overseeing the company's compliance with laws and regulations, such as consumer protection laws, advertising regulations, and data privacy laws
  • Advising the company's management team on legal risks associated with business decisions and strategies
  • Managing and overseeing the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights
  • Managing and overseeing the company's litigation and dispute resolution matters, including managing relationships with external legal counsel
  • Managing and overseeing the company's legal department, including hiring and training legal personnel
  • Providing legal advice and guidance on corporate governance matters, including advising the board of directors on corporate governance best practices
  • Managing and overseeing the company's insurance policies and claims
  • Develop and create corporate legal strategies and oversee the delivery of legal services to departments
  • Act as corporate secretary and offer proactive advice to complex legal matters
  • Root out possible legal issues of the company and monitor regularly to maintain legal obligations of the company is under control
  • Advise legal requirements that meet with Myanmar Law and protect company’s legal matters
  • Identify the legal risks regarding to business decisions and operations
  • Manage a team of legal department and to strictly follow Myanmar Law guidelines
  • Ensure day-to-day legal department’s activities and maintain legal budget
  • Undertake other duties as requested by Board of Directors and committees and management members

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications And Skills

  • A Law degree from a recognized university or law school
  • At least 10-15 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate and commercial law
  • Experience in the FMCG industry or a related industry
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as consumer protection laws, advertising regulations, and data privacy laws
  • Strong negotiation, drafting and analytical skills
  • Experience managing and leading a legal team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience working with senior executives and providing legal advice to management teams

Working Time:

9:00 AM ~ 5:00 PM

Monday ~ Friday

Saturday & Sunday closed
